Of Dub and Noise

So theres this musical genre call Dubstep. Depending on your point of reference it call sound like many things. It falls into the Electronic Dance Music section of life. I started out not liking it, but then I broadening out a bit and found what makes me really happy. So what follows is my two bits (more like three) on decent Dubstep.

Early Dub (as the kids call it) was found overseas and centered in England. Here is Magnetic Man doing early format dubstep. They would be what is often considered the early days of dub (even though they were still part of the experimentation of it all) within the electronic sphere.

Now, lets move on to something rather popular. Skrillex is one hot number right now, combine that with the old school/new school of the son of Reggae,  Damian " Jr. Gong" Marley (Bob's son) and you get gold. I am picky about a lot of Skrillex's stuff, but this, this, this, this.

Now, I am only giving you three tastes, and of course there's plenty more, but I am saving my most dear favorite for the last. If you want or need more, tune into or stream online (it's how I get my fix of all things EDM) to  C89.5 Seattle's best of the Best EDM station and its NOn-freaking Profit! While not fully dub, check out my friend and fellow DJ (though I do not stand close to his talent, yet :) DJ Drew Bailey who hosts The Vortex and it's amazing.

Two ladies and a dude make up Krewella, and they are amazing. Here are two tracks, enjoy.
